Police rescued a beheaded body of madrasah student in Kurigram


ABDUL WAHED:

Kurigram Sadar thana police yesterday (January 23) rescued a beheaded body of a madrasah student from riverside of the Dharla river at Pachgachhi union under Kurigram Sadar upazila. The body was sent into Kurigram morgue.

Local people identified the body as Kafil Uddin, 14, son of Tayab Ali of North Kadomtola village of Pachgachhi union under Sadar upazila of the district and a class-six student of Nayarhat Dakhil Madrasah in the same union.

According to police and local sources, after evening on Monday (January 17) the student (Kafil) went to his house adjacent ‘Shulkur Bazzar’ to recharge his cell phone then he was missing. At about 2.00 pm on Sunday (January 23) some local people found his body in riverside of the Dharla while they were going to their works in cultivated land following the riverside.

Then the brutal incident was informed to the thana police. Police rushed into the spot and rescued the body as the beheaded. Later the body was sent into Kurigram morgue to autopsy.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of the thana Md. Taharul Islam told this correspondent that local people identified the body. It was a brutal killing. The incident of killing could not be known immediately. We would confirm the cause of killing after proper investigation, he added.
