Two unnatural dead bodies found in Kurigram.

Kurigram thana police rescued two unnatural dead bodies within the last two days in Kurigram Sadar upazila.

One body was identified as Harun-Ar-Rashid, 45, son of late Fazal Uddin of Shibrum (Pramaniktari) village under Kathalbari union and another was identified as Kafil Uddin, 14, son of Tayab Ali of North Kadomtola village of Pachgachhi union and a class-six student of local Nayarhat Dakhil Madrasah under Sadar upazila of the district.

Police and local sources said Haru-Ar-Rashid went into Kathalbari Bazzar on Tuesday evening (January 20) but then he was not found later. At yesterday morning (January 24) local people found his body in a pond of the nearest village Goyari under the same union and informed the police. Police rescued the body and sent it to Kurigram morgue at the noon.

The victim’s family sources said a quarrel was going on with his younger brother on a disputed land and a case was filed with the thana in this connection.

In another incident, Kurigram Sadar thana police yesterday (January 23) rescued a beheaded body of a madrasah student from riverside of the Dharla river at Pachgachhi union under Kurigram Sadar upazila. The body was sent into Kurigram morgue.

Police and local sources said the student (Kafil) went to his house adjacent ‘Shulkur Bazzar’ to recharge his cell phone on Monday evening (January 17) then he was missing. At about 2.00 pm on Sunday (January 23) some local people found his body in riverside of the Dharla while they were going to their works in cultivated land following the riverside.

Then the brutal incident was informed to the thana police. Police rushed into the spot and rescued the body as the beheaded. Later the body was sent into Kurigram morgue to autopsy.
