Chilmari Press Club with the assistance of different organizations provided free medical treatments and medicines among 520 people in remote char areas under Chilmari upazila in Kurigram on September 25.
A medical team with five members was comprised Dr ASM Ferdous of Chilmari Upazila Health Complex, Paramedic of RDRS Ms. Marilyn Hembrom, Nursing Supervisor of Chilmari Upazila Health Complex Mujibur Rahman, Medical Assistant Amrita Lal Halder of Tdh and Senior Medical Assistant Jalal Uddin provided the services.
The Chilmari Upazila Health Complex, upazila administration, RDRS, Tdh, Suhrid Somabesh, KDAB, BRAC, Friendship and Uddipon assisted in arranging medical camps at remote Dakshin Khauria, Khauria School and Dakkhin Feichkar Char on the Brahmaputra bed.

Chilmari UNO Enamul Haque, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Motassim Billah Azad, Noyarhat union chairman SM Nowshad Ali Sarker also extended all-out cooperation in arranging and providing the free medical treatments.
Chilmari Upazila Health Complex, ten medical stores and pharmacies, and other organizations assisted with medicines worth Taka 50,000 those were distributed among the flood-hit char people of all ages to check breakout of the post-flood related various diseases.
